Shamsaddin A. Dawalbait, who has been imprisoned nine times over freedom of expression issues talks about the importance of training for media in exile. He had just completed a week working as interpreter for a journalism training course for staff and contributors of Hurriyat Sudan (http://www.hurriyatsudan.com/) when he took time out to talk about the importance of the course. He is the Vice President of the Civil Society Organizations For Democratic Elections (TAMAM), in Sudan. He is also a counsellor for "Democracy & Good Governance". Interview recorded on January 20, 2012 in Kampala, Uganda. The course he was attending was organised by Fojo International (http://www.fojo.se/international/fojo-international). The course was designed and delivered by the person who shot this interview, David Brewer, editor of Media Helping Media (http://www.mediahelpingmedia.org/).
