Since visiting the Tiger Temple in 2006, a 2-year investigation by 'Care for the Wild International' revealed disturbing evidence of animal abuse and illegal trafficking at the temple. Click the link for the report. http://www.careforthewild.com/default_detail.asp?detail=true&I_ID=598&...

"The Temple's popularity is based around claims that its tigers were rescued from poachers and move freely and peacefully amongst the temple's monks, who are actively engaged in conservation work. But this utopian façade hides a sinister reality of unbridled violence and illegal trafficking of tigers between Thailand and Laos." CWIs Chief Executive Dr Barbara Maas.

  • errmm yes it is! what do you mean no it's nt? have you actually been???

  • It was me who shot the video, you fool... Read the CWI report - link at the top right - and read the captions... Every animal charity in the world has condemned this place.

  • i hope all these allegations dont turn up to be true.. we human beings are the nastiest off all kinds of animals. please have mercy for these tigers, they are innocent and deserve all the care in the world

  • they are true

it was a 2 year investigation by a reputable international NGO

and before then, there were rumours abound.

  • The tiger in 1:48 is adorable. :]

After reading some comments, they're having to wear chains for a reason. No matter how much you train and take care of them, they're still carnivores.

I so want to go there and cuddle. :<

  • @Pologameboy I dont think you understand the terrible beatings they get if they ever even look at anyone or walk off the path, or do nothing at all

  • I dt believe its saint .. otherwise y is it opened to tourists ? u ll tell me they do so to help to feed the tigers?? maybe but they look all like under drugs.

  • rescued?..isnt that bullshit...some1 needs to rescue these tigers from d temple..i hope they eat the monks some day so ppl realize this isnt helping tigers in any way..this is no way a tiger conservation as these monks claim it to be...

  • isaanStyle55 You don't even know me, I'm (half)thai and I know what happen to my Country! Also, animals are not human toys, they should live free in their nature and be what they are, predators. This place is horrible, like every zoo/safari and so on is. Don't forget that these animals are drugged and don't say it isn't true, I know they are, I'm studying for to be a zoologist and I'm starting to volunteer with wild animals in Africa, so I know animals well.

  • :( this make me deeply sad, wish I could go there and help all the tigers. Animals should be all free! They'are not human's toys, they need to live in their real home :(

  • All the Bhudhist monks in Thailand should raise Tigers. They should also feed the tigers with their bodies if not they should teach the tigers to be vegetarian LOL! Ha Ha Ha 55555555

  • Utterly disgraceful! And the temple is getting bigger by tipping off the authorities - posing as monks..what a disgrace! The Tiger Zoo isn't that much better...
