Wow, I love this game! Brought back memories when I saw this at an old convenience store, back when they had video games at most of them. Then I bought Rebel Strike and found this and the OLD Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back Vector Graphics games hidden in that. Very cool of them to put those in there!
I played this game only once, at a mall in Richmond, Virginia, when I was in grade school. I didn't get past the speeder bike part, but I'm so happy that's it's posted here now, because I always wanted to see what the ending was like
One thing about old arcade games, they did not fuck around. You had x amount of lives and if you couldnt get the job done, oh well, back to the fucking beginning.
I played this religiously blah blah blah as a kid too. This WAS my favorite SW game in the arcade; the music. colors and different missions were so fun. The escape from the exploding Death Star was so stressful, but it was always the best feeling when I could get "in the zone" (use the Force?) and make it out.
seeing this takes me back a ways too. I played this once for close to four hours straight. I forget the score but i was able to put it my name in as an all time jedi knight. It had an asterisk next to my name and even when you unplugged the game the name still remained on the screen.
I loved this game in the arcade (and ever since thanks to MAME!). Loved the controller - same as Roadblasters. Agree that Starwars was the better game though. Playing this again brings back memories of trips to Blackpool. Chips, candy floss and getting a load of 10ps to play this, Golden Axe, Outrun, Rolling Thunder... happy days...
