they need a new name for this though. It doesn't resemble a sneeze in any way. It's way more like an asthma attack and sounds much more serious that just a sneeze

My dog (shihzu mix) would do this, I would cut her hair around her neck area especially and this seemed to help her from doing this anymore.

I adopted my dog (chihuahua + beagle mix) 2 weeks ago. Few days later he started coughing occasionally so we took him to the vet, who diagnosed him with kennel cough, a pretty common disease in shelters but harmless if treated timely. The dog ordered him antibiotics and he is being doing better, but few minutes ago he suffered what I realize was a reverse sneezing episode. Very scary.

All my dogs do that, I thought it was because an allergy to my cat which they play all the time, but my brother's dog doe the same thing. Thanks for the video, I'll share it with my brother who is also worried.

damn it i accidently thumbs up.. don't get 2 excited.. noone agrees with you. No dog is worthless. You are just an asshole. I have 2 small dogs & as far as I'm concerned they are the most beautiful intelligent important little beings on the planet.
