  • I first heard Jimmy do this song live here in Nashville before the record came out..... its one of his most powerful and probably overlooked jems and always grabs me by the throat. Very nice visual presentation

  • Yes, I agree with you on all accounts about this song. ...and thnx for the compliment. I tried to capture, the best I could, some of the images that flash thru my mind when I hear this song. If I had more patience & time, I might have made a better video.

  • Did u make this?!?!?! :O Its like 5 shrillion times better than mine haha!

  • Thnx for your complimentary comment. Yes, all my videos here are ones I made. The segments with the ship in the bottle in this were edited by me & came from the movie " The Good Shepherd". Everything else was from my own video footage & family photos. The Accordian photo was edited & from FLICKR.

  • I just heard this for the first time, and am now officially demolished. My god.

  • Maybe the reason other people haven't covered this one is that it is just too personal. It really is a cry from the heart and an utterly beautiful song---it reminds me of a classical art song, it is so great.

  • Beautiful video and one of JW's most intense and poignant ( and under-rated) songs. Thank you

  • Another great song you've posted....this one kills me. I think Jimmy Webb beat out Joni Mitchell for imagery. Thanks for posting. I'll share my Jimmy Webb tribute with you. Hope you like it.

  • It's really cool that you used your family photos.
