Outstanding!!!...From one Outdoorsman and Canoeist to another, your video footage is Excellent. The sceneic places you explore are just Amazing! You should do a Documentary for PBS, you seem very Professional at what you do, Great Job!....Your Dog looks like the best little friend a man could have, so excited to join you in your expeditions....What a great little companion. Your video's are by far the best Outdoor cinematography I have seen. Keep up the footage and best wishes to you.....Kevin.

Why no 'dog' on this trip?

When I'm not going solo Maddy will often not make the trip. This is because the trip was a longer one so the boat was quite packed with gear and food so space was an issue. Also, bringing a dog takes extra care and planning and because I hadn't been to this area before I wanted to scope it out before bringing Maddy. After having done the trip I'm not sure I would bring her if I went again since there were a lot of cliffs and I could too easily see Maddy chasing a bird right of the edge.

Holy c*** Troy....
I felt like I was watching Man vs wild, minus the sheer stupidity...
Those trails are crazy! and all I could think about was... "he's wearing hiking SHOES"
Over 8 days, any problems with humidity related (coug cough) medical? Did your system keep your stuff relatively dry?
*ok gets to watch part 2 now :) *

We didn't have any problems keeping things dry since I'm pretty good with packing things in drybags that need to stay dry. Our feet suffered a bit from being wet all day but nothing a good toasting by the fire didn't solve. Health wise, we were tip-top.

Great vid as always.
Have been thinking about doing a Temagami trip next year. Looks like it is beautiful but routefinding would be more of a challenge than Algonquin.

I'm not sure since this is the first trip I've done in the Temagami region, but I think accuracy of the trail markings would really depend on where you go in this region. Some of the lakes we were travelling on weren't actually even in the Temagami Park. We only had to pay for park access for three of the eight days because five of those days weren't in the park, just crown land. However you slice it, it's certainly a beautiful area.
