My first invisible roll clear!

I skipped MV and went straight to MO. I was very happy to beat my previous best performance no less than 3 times in a single session.

  • how did you get the video recording so clean? when i record from Taito, its a bit blurry and the colors are washed out.

  • @scottind My video signal pipeline goes something like:

Tait Type X > JAMMA to JVS converter > Sanwa JC-V2 video splitter > PVR

The JC-V2 is something that takes in a JAMMA signal, passes it through to the arcade machine, and also splits off an S-video signal. After that pipeline I burn the video to DVD, and edit that using avisynth to clean it up for the final video. I can share avisynth scripts but every recording setup has different problems. There's no one size fits all solution.

  • @colourthief thanks for the info, I was using the 31k(vga output), into a NTSC converter, then capturing it with a regular Pinnacle USB device. Problem with that, is that it ends up being interlaced. I have a few test captures on my channel for example. I've also secured a TGM3 for myself, but i'm admittedly not very good.

  • @scottind I capture an NTSC interlaced signal at the end too, so we're setup not all that different. I'm just using the Type X's 15k output. De-interlacing video is the most painful thing ever, it's easily the hardest part of the whole video processing chain.

If you want to capture the full progressive 31k, I highly recommend Epiphan's VGA2PCIe capture card. I've got one and it really does capture lossless videos up to 1024x768@60fps. I don't have any test captures uploaded yet though.

  • Ive looked an im hopelessly lost where can i find this game ?

  • @Gmrking91 For free? Nowhere. I paid arcade operator prices for mine. Short of finding it at your local arcade that's the best you can do, though there's a version for X360.

  • @Gmrking91 Don't bother with TGM ACE on 360 if you want TGM-style action. It's just a standard Tetris game with ARS slapped onto it. As for how that came to be, it's a bit of a long story.

  • I often watch this one and still think that you are a lucky bastard ;)

  • @MrAdamKulidjian

I bought it from an online store that hasn't stocked it in a long time. If you do manage to find it you'll need to find a Japanese console too, because it won't work on a NA one.

  • @colourthief Thank you so much. Last thing: where did you get your copy of TGM Ace on the 360? Were there any problems with playing it on an N.A. X360 console?

    Thanks a lot. =)

  • @MrAdamKulidjian

I bought an actual physical game, you can't download it any more than you can download an X360.

I used a joystick on an arcade machine.

  • @colourthief I have two questions.

    1. Can you please send me the link to donwloading this program (Taito, or whatever) for my PC (Windows)

    2. Are you using a keyboard or a joystick? =)

    Thanks and great job!!!
