@pitrik yes, he writes on acoustic usually and asks the and to contribute to it. There are many instances where the band won't be able to improve it and they leave it be as is "thinking about you" is a good example

@dhrobbins why sad?

@jamontoastst Killer chord progressions always translate between moods and genres, especially with such interesting chord voicings. I'm guessing it was written on the acoustic in the first place - the distortion, drums, bass, etc are essentially ornamentation on an already great song.

how does he do it? how does he play such an unlikely acoustic song, and it sounds just fucking amazing??!?! HOW!?!?!?! awesome.

brilliance. ♪

The oddest thing happened to me shortly before this point in the concert. His roadie handed him the acoustic and I said to the uberfans around me, something to the effect of "He should play another Radiohead song. Something like Airbag", fully realizing that acoustic Airbag has been done probably less than 10 times ever. Then the fragile first chords played, to the astonishment of those few who had heard what I said. I can't explain it, but we certainly shouted along in an interstellar burst.

@Rockykratter Phenomenal is a good word to describe this performance. It's just pure genius.
Some things will never get old. This makes me very happy ... well, still sad, but very happy about being sad.
