For the first time in its fifteen years history, the band Zenith has been covering unplugged a mixture of pop, rock, blues songs with a bit of a jazzy feel thrown in for good measure. The first one in the series has taken place in Raeren (Belgium) on 5th and 6st September 2008.
This time round, along with alternative versions of well-known and ground-breaking songs in the history of music arranged by members of the band has been played for the first time. All time members (Eupen, Raeren) of the band are the brothers Oliver and Daniel Chavet (Drums and Guitar) and Christian and Stefan Klinkenberg (Piano and Bass). Singers (Aachen) are Torsten Borrmann and Katia Schroeder. Rhythm Guitar: Dirk Kruchem. Horns: Luc Marly, Arnaud Brandt and Francois Dawans. Mix: Andreas Henz with Pink Noise.
The word unplugged became incorporated into the title of a popular MTV series that began in the 1989/1990 US TV season, MTV Unplugged, on which musicians performed acoustic or "unplugged" versions of their familiar repertoire. Many of these performances were subsequently released as albums, often featuring the title Unplugged.
