Go to WD website and download the new update for it which gives the option to disable the built in software.

How do you do the same with mac? I also wanna use it as normal portable hard disk... I just wanna use my USB port and load files over to it.
Hope you can help me!

@TheAngiejolie If you are using linux then execute the following commands
sudo sh -c "echo UUID=`diskutil info /Volumes/WD\ SmartWare/ | grep 'UUID' | awk '{print $NF}'` none hfs rw,noauto 0 0 >> /etc/fstab"
else in windows
go to: Control Panel >>>> System >>>> Hardware >>>> Device Manager
in the list that shows up, click on the little plus logo next to DVD/CD-ROM Drives
there should one titled "WD Virtual CD 1110 USB Device" is your culprit.
right click and disable it
