The 2006 PS1000 in this video has less than 5,000 miles on it and has rarely had E10 (ethanol tainted) gas in it. It has been stored with the tank nearly empty. The tank started to spread about a year ago.
Just got the replacement tank for my gt1000.. I don't think it's new though because it's covered in buffer swirls and didn't have the removable decals a new tank has. I think they are taking defective customer tanks and reshaping them, buffing them and sending them back out. Much like the cell phone companies. I have no proof but something about my new tank just doesn't add up.

It is the ethanol in the fuel here in the states that is causing this, and a lot of other, problems. We need to return to selling gasoline, not corn, for fuel.
