actually the best bel canto singer, possibly of all time. I can't even handle this its just unbelievable! Why wouldn't the met hire her instead of fucking netrebko?! UGH

OK, she hasn't the lower register of Callas, are we going to kill her for 4 notes? It was that kind of thinking that terrified Callas into silence in Paris in 1964. Enjoy what she does well, and back off. Of better yet, YOU sing it, haters.

So what do we think, is the upgrade to the larger HD video format worth the extra effort? Overall it takes about 3x longer for me to convert and upload HD versus standard. In some respects I am happy with the HD, and in other respects I am not sure.... just wanted some feedback.

I have the impression it depends on the original source. For this Bolena the upgarde is definitely woth the effort, in my opinion. Some other clips, like Semiramide, do actually look slightly stretched.

Yes, any video that is in the standard 4:3 is going to be stretched to fit these 16:9 HD aspect ratios. This Bolena clip is stretched also, the only one that is not is the Maria Stuarda which was already in 16:9. My first thought was the videos looked distorted, I was not as impressed as I thought I would be.
