Their first was the product they call the tongue and grove pliers. see channellock d-o-t com. Vise grip is a brand too, they make locking pliers but so do many companies. Use google image search and search multi grove plier, then channel lock.. look at the difference in images.

@KyoTheFoxDemon to create a tighter seal. Some folks use a type of was but the tape is easy and cheap. Hope this helps.
