Blue Jays Nesting in Rhododendron

This spring I have a family of blue jays nesting in the large rhododendron right outside my front door. I'm thinking the parents must have picked the spot while I was away on vacation for a week in mid-April. With no activity around the house, they must have figured it was a good/safe location to nest.

I'm trying to be as careful as possible not to disturb them inordinately. Now that the chicks have hatched, the cats can't go outside or the parents will immediately start dive-bombing them.
