Beautiful pictures and very good advice! I wish people here in the UK would have more interest in our environment and wild life. North Carolina is gorgeous.

Very nice! Particularly impressive to see the box turtle there. Do you get more amphibians using your property?

Do you at all worry about boosting populations of 'mesomammals' like raccoons? It has been pretty clearly shown that increased edge habitat boosts raccoon populations which in turn causes declines in other native species that raccoons eat.
