A bracket clock I've been building for a few weekends, about 6 - 8 I think. The wood is mahogany, stained with Hicksons Decor, and then polished. The mechanism is a Hermle Westminster 4/4 quartz, which I think sounds very good.

  • Outstanding! Nice clock. You can be very proud of that!

I wish I had be fascilities to make my own too. Where did you get the dial and movement? Selva.de?

  • @HifiCentret The clock movement came from a UK supplier martinhdunn.co.uk. I'm glad you like it. I get a lot of pleasure hearing it chime.

  • It certainly is. The mechanisms aren't the cheapest around, but are definitely the best.

  • @WeekendWorkshop Thanks!

Seems worth looking there next time I need a movement or some hands. Selva has just about everything but is a bit on the expensive. That shop seems to have nice prices - except I don't know how much they charge to ship to rest of EU.

  • It's amazing how far digital sond has come since the 90's! Sounds very close to real.
