Solid state=thin and short decay of notes.Tubes= thick crunch,sustain,extreme volume, etc etc..

@stratdem How high gain do you play? I thought the DSL (a tube amp) would win hands down over a MG (solid state)...

i prefer the 2007 Marshall MG HD100FX Half stack over the Marshall DSL 100.
i use a 2007 Marshall MG 100HDFX with a 1982 Marshall JCM800 and its
such a perfect combination that i wont use anything else!
