Finland.
Best country ever.
We have them to thank for SAKO, Nokia, and the Lapua round.

@ddoleiden ive hunted moose with everything between .308 up to a .338 win mag and i will tell u accuracy is more important than anything, i shot a moose at 200 yds with a .308 in the lungs and by the time i walked up there that thing was just as dead as if u shot it with a .50 bmg

The aim is to hit the target. If you are hitting, in this wind, at 1000 yards, then his body position is just fine.
-
@CHOPERUS23 Agreed. Getting right behind the weapon reduces recoil damage to the shoulder as well as making it easier to re-aquire the target(Faster re-aquisition I guess)
-
we will pronounce them with our american accent so go to hell!
Im sure you cant pronounce a single word that is American to sound the way we say it but who gives a shit anyway?? People are so damn retarded on youtube and freak out about the dumbest things

Thanks. Just read the Winter War wikipedia article. Very brave. Very Finnish. Nice of the Swedes and Norwegians to help out too.

Nice shooting. Crap body positioning my friend. Your body should fall naturally in line with the target.

Approximately how many rounds down the tube before you replaced the barrel? Or is that the special order stainless? I have a TRG42 w/ black stock and blued finish in 300WM. I'm curious how many rounds I can expect to send down range before accuracy starts degrading (chrome Molly Barrel).

is that the .338 LM???
Should i consider buying a 300win or the .338lm???
Cheers.
Ask a expert about barrell life . I shouldnt comment.

Ii dont know enough about barrells to answer that?? wasnt special order and its not pure stainless either , much to my dis belief! a magnet will still stick to it!!!. I know that another guy with a sako was up to 26 000 rounds and still hitting bunnies at 300 yards with his 223!! our other gun a sako 223 is 20 years old and shot more than 2000 rounds and still a beautiful beautiful accurate gun. I suspect that the amount I shoot it, trg 42 will last for years!! cheers.

no 300 win mag.
depends on what yo are hitting. for me the 300 is perfect. rips through australian animals at 1000 yards with ease. cost of 338 is almost twice, recoil is alot more, but, going to be better at real distance if you reload.

leopold mark 4, 8-25 x tactical recticle. nice scope, can really if the prone position is good can clearly see roo heads and deer heads and place it on them at 1000yards easily. but....... I have never had the confidence in the gun to hit head shots at 1000 yards. I have always gone for the chest. My longest first shot hit is 820m on animals.
never hit anything at 1000 yards yet , first shot, normally wind gets me. I dont shot enough either to instictively know.

wind sounds worst than it was, only about 5 to 10 mph as I can remember but the sound across the mic makes it worst. It was consistent so once I made the adjustment via the computer then.......its like having no wind.. but if the wind changed I would be stuffed as 1 mph wind at 1km for that bullet shifts the bullet 6 inches.

With the muzzle brake makes all the difference, I have shot it without and it is 'heavy" on the shoulder. You get alot of energy come back at you especially if yr watching or the car is near and the energy rebounds off the car.
reloads - havent exactly worked it out , I buy big lots of power and lapua brass is reloaded ?? times 3-5 until I lose confidenece in them.
projectile 60 cents, primer 10, power 30-50cents, cases 3$ /5 =60cents
TOTAL = $1.50 AUST. roughly.
