This is the Pitch Curve and Trimming flights of the Blade 400. This is my Electronic and Mechanical "break in" period.
It allows me to test and trim my equipment before really getting aggressive. It also allows me to find out the characteristics of this heli's flight. It is all part of the learning curve when flying a new helicopter. So now that I have it trimmed, I will present a more aggressive flight when my fingers don't get so cold next time. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.

  • where do you get them pontoons

  • See my video, "Stealth Helicopters, you cant fly them if you cant see them". I show them and how to get them.

  • i will say it again..i love your vids sir!!

  • Thanks kindly.

  • what is better, the blade 400 or the trex 450????????. i have my hb fp for 5 days now and can hover in all directions pretty good. i can fly in the figure 8 and do tight fast circles. thanks!

  • They are both good, but the Blade comes with the best radio. Glad you are progressing. What you describe takes years for most to be able to do.

  • lol fat dog you have

  • @NightFlyyer

Even for beginners those pontoons might be handy for visual reference, eyesight or not.

  • the blade 400 waz my first heli and i will allways have a softspot for it, its a brill wee heli ...... awesome!

  • Where can I get pontoons like yours please? I am in Scotland though ...

  • No controller strap and li'l rough landing... so the vid is good in a way. Orange skids is a good idea...

  • @njtl2686 i went from virtually no experience with rc heli's straight to the blade, and , with a lot of help from a sim, found i could do a basic hover within a few days. it is a very responsive heli and my tendancy was to over correct a lot and that meant a few crashes here and there. if you have had some experience with them i'm sure you could handle it if you take it steady

  • that mother fucker is loud

  • @NightFlyyer A blade is £205 including Tx!!! Its by no means a Porsche.. An X-Cell Tempest is a Porsche as the head alone is £400...

  • @peetiepan Buy a sim and practice.... Learn the tail on the sim and depending what flying you want to do you will find it easier. I started with Raptor 30 was nose in hovering within a week and upgraded it to a 50 size in 3 weeks as the 30 was crap. After 6 months i got board of the power and bought an X-Cell Fury Extreme. Great for stability and my kind of flying. (I dont do 3d) but can fly inverted and stuff.

  • @raisethepot If you want a Nitro Heli then just buy one. Get a simulator and practice. Then you will be ready for a bigger bird be it electric or Nitro. Bigger is way better and very stable when set up correctly. And you can fly them further away without putting pontoons on them and slowing them down.
