Srinagar, Kashmir

Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, is as beautiful as it is politically unstable. Close to the line of control, a tenuously drawn border between India and Pakistan, this is one of the most fascinating areas we've seen.

Muslim-controlled Srinagar is famous for many things. Follow along as we visit wooden mosques in the old city, explore the many waterways, taste some delicious Kashmiri food, and stroll through colorful Mughal gardens.

i spent only 12 day in Srinagar, travel by bus from New Delhi. Sonomarg and Gulmarg is a great and beutiful place to visit.. thans for this video....

Thankyou, shukria! I spent 3 months in Kasmir, and this has brought it all back to me, Kashmir is my fav place in the world, have been there twice and would love to go back to visit my friends, at least I don't feel so homesick now I have this video to watch! Excellent composition :)

i fell in love with the SCENT of an old world there,,

i recalled BUCHARA and Samarkanda chaihan 1970 or 1971- an open air tearoom, low table all men and just me curious what they would ask,, they asked where poland was,,

thank god we shared the same language of the invaders in their and my land. we shared green tea (1st one in my life) jar, a sugar head (in Central Asia you chop off bits of hard sugar). it took hours to say good bye,,thank you for YOUR story here, CONTEMPORARYNOMAD!
