Here I'm showing some meteorites of my meteorite collection. I hope this helps you to identify a meteorite. Stone meteorites are the most common type of meteorite. So in case you find a meteorite after a fresh fall it is most likely a stone meteorite. A meteorite is named after the place where it has fallen. The video shows "Bassikounou" stone meteorite, "Erg Chech" stone meteorite and "Allende" stone meteorite. At the end you can see a iron meteorite ("Sikhote-Alin"). You can also see that the "Bassikounou" stone meteorite, like most stone meteorites, is easily attracted to a magnet. Notice the black fusion crust and the lighter gray interior.

Some information in German language.
