Those AC44i locomotives have just delivered to Rumo by Brazilian GE. The colorful paint scheme still shines. Rumo/COSAN bought them to carry its sugar production from Midwest to Santos harbor.

  • i like these units... the paint scheme is Awsome..btw does the i at the end of AC44i mean its an export model and these are still standard gauge right?

  • @EMDSD14R I don't know why this model has been named as AC44i and not AC4400CW. Many modifications had to be done because of track and tunnels restrictions (one of the easiest to note is the cabin a little bit inclined) and so they can be the reasons to General Electric renamed this model specially to Brazilian characteristics. Those locomotives run on 1,6 m gauge while standard gauge is 1,435 m.
