Clicker training! First, your dog must be clicker conditioned, and you have to know how to use the clicker. For this trick, we shaped it in stages. He got clicked and treated for just standing near the wall with the switch, then for jumping on the wall, then attempting to hit the switch, then acutally hitting the switch and finally, deferentiating between the switch being on or off. Took about a week, but then a month and continual training to get it proficient.
