Great video - it definitely is a personal choice. We each have to decide on our own and not so much on others success or failures...Great video :) I love my band :) Hugs ---Melissa :)
I couldn't have said it better, Deb. You have to make an informed decision/choice on what is going to be best for YOU and YOUR lifestyle. That's the only way you'll be successful. For some people, it's RNY, for some DS, for some VSG, for some, the band, and for some, no WLS at all. It's not anything to walk into uninformed or make a quick decision about. You have to go with what you know you can live with, bottom line.
It is your body, your health, and your choice. I previously had a lapband, and it wasn't for me. I had issues with a sugar and caffeine addiction. And I was a nervous eater. And against the odds I developed vitamin deficiancies. Gastric Bypass was the decision I should have made in the first place. I am 10 weeks and had to learn to make better choices. I am a different person now.
Making an informed decision is the only way and thankfully there are different options for us to chose from, I ditto Dena's comment!
