ODYSSEUS

This is my take on my favorite literary character: Odysseus, from Homer's The Odyssey. Many times in my life as I have tried to emulate, good or bad, the decisions Odysseus made in his journeys. A couple of times in my life I have found myself comfortably in the arms of a woman who did truly offer me all the happiness and comfort that Odysseus was offered when he was on the island of Circe. But I knew that there was an Ithica out there with my Penelope waiting for me. (Still no luck). Hell, I even took appropriate measures to ensure that there would be no Telegonus out there gunning for me in my later years. If only I had paid more attention the part about the Lotus! I might actually remember my 20's. For about a decade of my life the only actual proof I have of my existence are diplomas, police reports and band photos.
