@funadooo There is nothing wrong with having many interests. Its ridiculous to expect you not to. But if you would allow me one final comment, and I mean this to simply help you sell yourself. A generalist real can sometimes hurt you more then help.

@Sentmassen When I apply for a job I usually send a detailed breakdown along with this link but I appreciate your suggestion. Its actually a good idea.

One thing you may want to keep in mind if you are going to use this to apply for jobs. You NEED to provide a demo reel breakdown of what exactly you did in each shot. When you say something as ambiguous as "Many of the characters were modeled, rigged and animated by me" you might as well be saying "I worked on some parts of these, but I'm not going to tell you which ones". I would number each shot and then put here or link to a word document that lists precisely what you did.

@Sentmassen Once again, thanks for the helpful observation and in case your still curious I now have available a link to my breakdown. Cheers!
P.S. You have a great Reel and final school project. Congrats!

@funadooo kudos on the quick turn around. Is there any particular area you would call your main interest? Its quite a eclectic demo reel.

@Sentmassen A friend once told me: "you have to pic a GO TO skill Floyd!". Up to now I've worked in commercial shops so I try to wear the generalist hat to do whatever is required. I enjoy taking on different creative rolls and learning new skills. For ex: extend my mel scripting into the realm of python (I ask myself "why?" a lot). That being said ... I probably do more animating, modeling and rigging. But of the 3, animation is ultimately my favorite. Thanks for the great input and questions!

@funadooo The absolute best way to show your stuff in all situations is to have individual reels for each area of expertise. So a reel of just animation, a reel of just rigging.... When you send a reel for (insert field), recruiters expect nothing but (insert field) and will look at nothing but (insert field). If they want to look at other things you've done, have those reels available. But you don't want to force them to dissect your reel with your breakdown.

@Sentmassen I agree with you and I'm actually aware of this ... especially when applying to larger companies which are usually searching for specific roles. Next time I set up my reel (and even though I hate to admit ... its about that time) I'll follow your advice. I believe its a good one.
