Nepali Brothers!! my for-fathers were 'Gurung' ... I born bought up in INDIA, I read some comments below were people not happy as himself Nepali.

@Yadevji thanks for your comment. but it's not proud to be nepali anymore. nepal hindu kings and his govt. has let down nepal. except kirat,(licchvais+thakuri+malla­+rana+shah)

were all hindus and they were racist. secondly they did not have vision and leadership to build nepal. these hindu kings only listened to indian leaders. so nepal fail. Go and read Dr. Krishna Bhattachan work. He published his articles "caste based discrimination".

Well, Dashain is The greatest festival in our country. Yes, if you don't want to celebrate it, you don't have to. We are Nepalese people so lets just enjoy all the festival we have. Peace

@sujanutube that's right. that's why i am telling and reminding people that this festival is not mandatory especially if you are not hindus. and yes kiratas are not hindus. they are either buddhist or kiratist. kiratas must celebrate their greatest festival call sakela, sakewa, buddha purnima and loshar.

so again people know what you are celebrating and don't celebrate dashian just because your parents have celebrate it. there's a deep political conspiracy on celebration of dashian.

@khim65 all kiratas like gurung, magar, rai, limbu, tamang, thakali, dhimal, chhantyal, sherpas, mahajharn, dangol, tamrakar, etc should not celebrate dashain because dashain is not kirat festival. this festival was forced on kiratas by rana government. also this festival is nonsenses where they killed thousands of animals in the name of god and festival and closed nepal for 1 month for a holiday. as for poor people, dashian is dasa as they have to buy new clothes, food. where to get money?
