Recently, the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) and the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) sponsored two college courses: Introduction to Labor Studies and Labor Politics and Society, to be taught simultaneously through a video conference between two campuses.

The Professors are Judy Ancel, Director of Labor Studies at UMKC and Don Giljum, business manager for the International Union of Operating Engineers at Ameren UE in St. Louis. (Bonus: he is a member of the Communist Party

The two professors in this'doctored' video were fired due to the content of this video. I , an alumni of UM-St. Louis, am appalled by the decision of my alma mater to fire these professors without any due process. Shame on you UM-St.Louis.Just knowing who edited this video,(Andrew Breitbert), should have told you something was wrong.!

Further, this Saturday another provocateur, Adam Sharp from SharpElbows, was arrested after trying to invade and instigate trouble in Gilgam's class. The truth has already come out on this, and it was proven that this video, as is, is fake, and was heavily edited to make it seem like the professors were advocating violence. This is not true at all, and Ancel never said that violence should be used as a tactic. If you had seen the whole unedited video you would have seen she was quoting someone else who said that, NOT her.

I agree with kj2kiwi this was taken out of context. These professors were just explaining how violence is a tactic that IS USED when correct. For those that preach to be non-violent and peaceful you guys have just never experienced extreme injustice, oppression, or abuse. Just travel to Africa and wait until your children starve to death because working wages don't improve. Then tell me you didn't want to use violence to change the system.

If government and Industry get to cozy and are taking to much of the wealth as is starting to take place now there are other solutions rather than violence. Create underground economies trade with each other do the non violent thing that has proven to work in India and other places. Ignore the status quo and laws they pass to limit man to man trade, they cannot put 300 million people in jail for maneuvering around their trade limiting newly created laws.
