53 Mins on Max Payne 2 Dead Man Walking

READ THIIS!!!!

Don't bother watching the whole video - just skip to 2.49 to see the records screen. I made this video to prove to some people who didn't believe me when I told them my time for manor yard.

Here are a few tips for improving your score:

1) unless you have a very good computer, after 30 mins or so the game will begin to lag slightly due to processing all the anti-aliasing on the spare guns lying around, so either turn off anti-alliasing or turn it down, before you go into the game.

2) in the graphics options before you enter the game, make sure 'projectiles' is set to high. this makes i easier to see bullets coming towards you in bullet time, so you can avoid them

3) assign painkillers and reload onto spare mouse buttons if you have them. this makes things a lot easier

4) turn OFF auto-aim. you wont improve with it on, and also it makes head-shots harder

5) change the crosshair to the yellow sort of plus sign type thing (like i have in the video). its the best one to see against the different coloured backgrounds

6) go on each map a couple of times without trying to break records. just explore the map looking for places/ tactics you could use to your advantage

7) when playing, try to remain in bullet time permanently whenever anyone is shooting at you. this is perfectly possible on most of the maps if you keep killing people, and dont stand in the wroong places

8) this ones pretty obvious, but when people are shhoting at you, move around as much as possible, and pay attention to bullets moving towards you and avoid them (especially shotgun blasts). also, listen for when the enemy shout "fire in the hole" cos you can usually kill them before they throw the grenade.

9) finally, another obvious one, go for headshots as much as possible (but not from a long range). if you have M4 ammo, use it. all other weapons are rubbish in comparison.

@universalmm12 lol. the maps got a bit repetetive after a while - there's only so many times you can camp in a corner for 50mins shooting respawning enemies before it gets boring. more maps in DLC would have been nice. or a max payne 3 which doesn't look like it'll be shit

I could stand 30 mins, but you need so much so luck do this, bullet time almost always on etc... great job btw.

@SoulmateErezIsrael thanks :). i wouldn't say it takes luck to get good times, it's more like you just have to not make mistakes. if you can get to 30 you can get to 50 using the same strategy, you just need to try it a few more times until you get one where you don't cock up. i'm hoping max payne 3 has a dead man walking mode - if it does i shall be posting videos :)

@FyouWanker hm.... i'm expecting it to be crap judging from the info that's available about it now but i'm hoping it won't be. best news i've heard today was that they're using the same voice actor as MP2 :D
