When you don't have kids, these are the types of videos you get. Movies of my KITTIES!

I'll tell you the tale of Boo Boo now.

It was a random night of work at the overly stimulating Walmart Discount City, nothing made it special until a co-worker came over. He related to me he had seen a kitten in the Walmart parking lot for several weeks, and had I seen it? Well, no, I had not. I thought it odd I hadn't seen this kitten in the parking lot since I am usually tuned in to animals in distress. It looked very thin, he told me. He would feed it scraps from the window of his car during lunch. It was skittish though, and unapproachable.

That very night as I walked out to my car for lunch I saw something small under my car. It moved about in little ways. I knew immediately it was the kitten. Right there, under my car! I scurried up to it calling Kitty Kitty but it was afraid and tried to run, only it ran under my wheel well, climbing up my tire and trapping itself. I thought, I've got it! I put my hands on the little beast and held tight. As I tried to pull it loose it wouldn't budge. It's claws were in my tire. The thing was going wild. I soon became afraid its little claws would gash my hands with painful scratches. I let go, and it ran away and away and away.

At first I laid food out in a grassy median for it, near my car. This failed me night after night. Then Bryce gave me a live trap meant for a squirrel. I laid this out night after night with nothing to show for it. Then a co-worker told me where they see it hanging out more often than not. After lunch, I laid my trap in the place they told me about. When I came outside on my five o'clock break, I saw something was in the trap. It was small, but large too. I thought, Oh no, it might be a rat. Walmart Discount City has vermin scurrying about the interior, maybe larger vermin scuttled about the exterior. I drew closer to the trap and I heard it. Ssss, Sssss, Sssss. It hissed wildly at me. I had caught it!

Now I needed to transfer it to my more comfortable kitty carrier. With the help of two other associates, we successfully shook the beast loose into the comfortable carrier and there we looked upon it. There was a terrible stench to it's fur, and build up of grease on it's exterior, and bones jutting out of everywhere.

At home I kept the animal confined in the carrier with food and water. Mow Mow was quite interested and made a fool of herself more than once. Later that night when it was time to go back to work, Bryce moved the kitten into the bathroom where it could roam about. Later he went in with a glove on one hand, ready to tame the beast and bring out the kitten within. I think it took him 5 minutes. I was told to come see, and when I did, there was the little one, in Bryce's hands, purring like it had wanted to for so long but couldn't while living in the wilds. It's little ear, half gone. Oh what horrors did it escape and survive?!

After a day in the bathroom, I carried the little one out to see the rest of the apartment. She was ready to explore. Since she litter-trained so quickly, I knew she was ready to stay out with us in the rest of the living area.

With each passing day Mow Mow grew more fond of the baby. She had a new play thing and she was ready to use it! And the baby was so ready to interact with an adult female kitty, one which happened to look just like her. Now they are the best of friends, except when the baby follows her every step and it ends up annoying her. I am so happy that my Mow Mow now has a feline companion and so happy this little raggedy kitten, Boo Boo, found a home place of its own.
