First it was at 26 weeks, then it was extended to 79 weeks. Now a new bill would allow some states to offer up to 92 weeks of unemployment benefits.

  • @the60sKid They have approved a temp extension and or something like 1 billion, applies to construction projects as well, not just unemployment, which remained over 9% last month

  • The tier system is supposedly in forced with March 2010 extensions the past week, that means those with it lapsing are seemingly on their own, I among them I suspect, I shall be homeless with no place to go, no storage to maintain or way to tackle bills, I need help with that, IT's a najor issue, as it is for any home owner losing their place. Apt renters get forgotten in the talk via the media

  • this is true

  • These Senate pinheads didn't read the NOV 09 extension DEADLINE. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSION of any kind in effect after DEC 31, 09. So if your regular claim ends anytime next year. Your screwed after that. They didn't apply any extensions into 2010. Believe it!

  • Extended benefits for the unemployed is a lie, All Fed-Ed ends on Dec 31, 09. Anyone whos claim ends after that is SOL. There is no follow extension on as of yet. Forget HEALTHCARE. Jobs and Unemployment should be the first priority.
