Brian Wilson might have been influenced by Phil Spector but Brian totally out did Phil in his music

You can be influenced by this man, but never be this man. And that, my friends, is what makes him great!

My wife and I caught this band in New Jersey in 2004 or so. I am a guitar player and she was a classical pianist. She didn't really know much about Brian. It was for her an excuse to get out of the apartment. She thought golden oldies. We had good seats up front middle. Music up. The level of musical production was, as you might expect, astounding. In the middle of it all Brian was a loving smiling happy man. Later my wife said, "I never understood what all the fuss was about. Now I see".

This album inspired Paul McCartney to do Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. When you inspire McCartney and The Beatles to their greatest masterpiece, you know you're the shiznit!
