I know what you mean. These things are nasty. My dog get's them on his paws all the time... no matter how careful we are! They break off into little clumps that get scattered all over the place...

ugh i hate those!!! if they get you not only does it hurt but those things dig in deep and release chemicals that activate histamines!!
i had one on my ankle right over a scar, and i had socks on. it made me bleed.
