I have the uncut English language version on VHS with Cantonese subtitles. The UK VHS release was the soft verion but with a further 1 minute 45 seconds cut by the distributor to get it past the BBFC. They would probably pass it uncut now; the BBFC have just passed CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST virtually uncut-except for the scene where the muskrat is stabbed with the flick-knife.

I can go along with you there, it's a shame AB didn't do this dub. I presume AB created their own composite from Italian sources, with uncut scenes from an Italian negative.

@doubledragonuk if you visit my website (link is in the crotchbar) and go to the reviews section, in my review of cut and run I've done a special feature comparing the difference between the cut and uncut versions.

Its not that its not complete, rather that the soundtrack keeps switching between English and Italian, when there was no need for it to do so had Anchor Bay done a more thorough job!

First they made this film in 1979. But they banned it cou of too mutch gore, so they cutted the gore sceenes, and made the new version. Am i right?
Where can i get uncut version.

No, they shot 2 alternate takes of the main action scenes at the same time. The reason was that the Japanese and German markets at that time were obsessed with gory films, whereas other countries, like the UK, had restrictive censorship laws.
This way they could release it as a straight action movie in the more restrcitive countires and as a gore film in those countries that demanded a "hard" version.
The US DVD from Anchor Bay is uncut, but has the gory scenes in Italian language.
