Sere Training - USAF

This is a small specialized career field in the US Air Force comprised of approximately 325 enlisted personnel. Air Force SERE Specialists train aircrew members and high risk of capture personnel from all branches of the military. The students are trained in skills which allow them to survive in all climatic conditions as well as how to survive while being held captive.

@usmcpound SF means security Forces, and yes SERE is a job, its SERE instructor

@usmcpound You can train to be a SERE specialist which means that you are an instructor for SERE. It is possible to cross train into it I'm pretty sure.

@semenden I understand that SF is the same as an MP, but it's SERE is just training, and does not change your job. So how would he be able to "reclass", if there even is such a thing, if its the same training as lets say, water survival. not the same type of training, but thats all it is, just training.

@usmcpound SF is security forces not special forces. He is a cop in the air force and they dont attend any sere training.
