There is no comparison-Thus far Chaka has the "Definitive Version"!

On The "I've Got It" Bridge Chaka's voice has bottom mammy while she soars over that bridge with notes to spare!

Whitney's voice beautiful & strong as it was,was too light in the ass !

Like the Late Great Arif Mardin said"This was an exercise in vocalising while danceable at the same time!

The demo from A&S sounded nothing like this!

There is only 1 Chaka Khan, she is unique and she still got it going on today vocally, whitney's version is cool but it cant compare to Chaka's original, whitney got a good voice but Chaka can out-sing whitney any day, no 1 sings like the CHAKA, love u Ms KHAN...

But Chaka's perfomance in the clip makes this song even better than it ever was!!!!!!!!!!!

@rkb57 Aint no need to be sorry. Cissy sang background on the original Chaka Khan recording, so the connection was already there before Whitney covered it, with Chaka's blessing. Also Whitney's cover was IMO one of the finest dance tracks of the 90's.
