This Video is for all the ex pupils who's memory is growing weak or for those abroad, who are unable to visit the school again.

Background: The Elliott School in Putney was fifty years old in 2006. As an ex pupil there, I used my computer skills to start a web site and Egroup, to let some of the 25,000 pupils who have passed through the buildings, keep in touch.

It soon became clear that many have now moved away from the area and have no idea how the school is today. I therefore photographed some of its iconic features and set them to appropriate music. I hope you enjoy it

  • Left here in 1985. This video brings back good memories. School was a great experience and Elliott was a joy to be at. It's feels like yesterday.

i went to this scholl in early 1984. we emigrated to Australia. Old memories. Jason , Micheal, Justin, David, bobby, Monique. Form room R117 LOL Mr Kryplani (spelling) 5p lolly pos dipped in choclate and one hell of a drama department

  • My God! The old enemy on YouTube! I was there in the late seventies. The teachers did nothing for me, except, Ms Scarrott, who will always be in my heart and soul. I hope she is still alive, she must be in her 80s! Would love to meet her, and some of the former pupils.

    Love Light and Peace

  • Michael Gove the Tory MP gave the go ahead. Please Please write to him to help us save a national asset and a very valuable resource for our children. Search for Michael Gove.

Or write to me if you want to help me fight the government directly on this issue. saveelliottschool@gmail.com

  • Do you know this beautiful "listed" building is now under threat from this disgraceful Tory Government? There are fully hatched plans to demolish parts and sell its playing fields to developers for housing. This will see Elliott lose its sixth form block, its outdoor theatre stage, its wildlife garden, its main car park, its 'listed' gym and design and technology buildings, its tennis courts and acres of green playing space.

  • this school has gone down hill, wasn't great when I went hear 2000-05 but from what I've heard its gotten even worse. They have sacked all the teachers worth a damn (or driven them away). Its depressing to tink about.

  • I was never there, but Elliot once had a vey high reputation locally for technical & science education. In earlier years it was in the Southfields area. My cousin was there in the 1940s. Since then the flourishing local education scene has been ravaged by Tory b******s. Britain, the two-class island: you go to Oxbridge or jail. God help the young. OGT

  • ive been at elliott since 2008 and since ive been here its been good and bad but the building is in need of serious repair .

  • I Went to the school 92-2000

Every place has good memories but i felt let down by teachers and the system I am not destitute or homeless but like any other state school this conditions you to be part of capitalist society and its sub sections without telling you how to be a statistic

meaning I am one of the few people who never felt part of the school 's culture

and when you see the people who are held in high esteem they are generally one sort of person from one sort of place

  • i was there from 2000 to 05 good times lol

  • I was there between 78 and 84. It had some real scum attending at that time but surprisingly quite a few successful people went there. The academics were a joke but its drama, music and sports were all very good. The pond life ruined it for others. A few teachers were class acts while the rest came straight out of British Leyland.

The building itself is in dire need of major repair. The only lesson learned here was what to avoid in life. Its never failed me.
