http://jkdlessons.com - Jeet Kune Do is the martial art developed by Bruce Lee which emphasizes "interception" over defense and counterattack.

Jeremy Lynch and Louis Berard demonstrate some basics for students at a local college.

  • Woody Harrelson?

  • @Kraglord LOL that is Hilarious. I was about 19 there. Nowadays people think I look like Liam Neeson

  • actually the lady asking if jeet kune do was a combination of martial arts is right

jkd isnt a style its a philosophy

it puts emphasis on freedom and expression without limting yourself

bruce said that he never created a new style n his truth was different from other peoples and vice versa

these guys are jus only trying to mirror lee himself , which their is nothing wrong with that but they dont understand what jkd actually is

  • @blakTiGGeRXXX Bruce Lee gave out ranking and certification in Jeet Kune Do. It's an open-ended system with philosophical elements borrowed from various sources. There's a reason why he named it "the way of the stop hit" and not 'the philosophy of doing whatever you want'.

  • @jkdwng It was often said by Bruce Lee himself that the name "Jeet Kune Do" was just that...a name. There may be a few techniques to it, but the main thing was being fluid. It may not be called "the philosophy of doing whatever you want" but I feel that the main elements of jeet kune do are fluid movement, efficiency and adaptability. It is the style without style.

  • Holy shit. She got a donk!

  • Jeremy Lynch is a bad dude. Im sure one straight lead from him would put most people away....

  • Bruces own words-a Jeet Kune Do man who says Jeet Kune Do is exclusively Jeet Kune Do is simply not with it. He is still hung up on his self-closing resistance, in this case anchored down to reactionary pattern, and naturally is still bound by another modified pattern and can move within its limits. He has not digested the simple fact that truth exists outside all molds; pattern and awareness is never exclusive.

  • @iceblue4u F.Y.I. The guy with the fast stop kick has real street and ring experience and has several first round k.o.

  • Not bad. I liked the stop hit demonstrations the guy has quick stop kick. Full contact sparring is core of JKD and all these drills are just that - drills. The real test is applying them against various sparring partners in real time who hit back..

  • looks just like wing chun

  • It's like a finger pointing at the moon, Do not concentrate on the finger or you will miss all of the heavenly glory.
