  • RZA's and GZA's names are based on letters from the supreme alphabet. "G" represents "God" and "R" represents "Ruler". "Z" represents "Zig-Zag-Zig", which means " from Knowledge to Wisdom to Understanding" and "A" represents "Allah", or The "Asiatic Blackman." Asia is the body; attic is the mind; black is the dominant force; man is the higher intelligence.

  • Haha i like Prodigy's explanation. "They call us the Mobb cuz we Deep" It's like saying "they call us Wu-Tang cuz we the Clan"

  • Wu-Tang Clan names are the best & coolest ever.

  • @danynumero6 Yeah 50 isn't exactly a prodigy or anything but at least there's a pretty legit meaning to his name, you always hear about people joining "the game" cuz it's all about the money and if it works then good for you I guess but it's good to know at least some people take their music seriously in that genre you know? In that sense the talent level is irrelevant as long as the passion's there.

  • @nutlil2 i did my research on them niggas awhile back & i found out that mobb deep was unsigned hypes in the late 80s wit the same solo names havoc & prodigy.. they saw another roster of unsigned hypes wit the same names so they confronted them backstage at a performance later on & had them niggas SHOOK.. Prodigy (mobb deep) talks about it on 1 of his blog post on his website & even brings it up in his latest autobiography

  • @tragsicc21 they both came out around the same time i think the west coast one is spelled prodejee or something different like that....but i do realize the west coast ones came out like a year before the east coast ones...but the they werent really know that much and dint blow up that much...the east coast ones are the ones who really blew up so they are the ones who are really known.

  • @LookAtMyFuckingName hahahahha
