Jeera Aloo is a healthy, simple, quick and easy to make north Indian recipe. It can be made as a sandwich stuffing or as a dry side dish to a meal. It is best suited along with dal (lentils) and chapati.

You can also improvise by adding fresh cilantro on top, or garnish with fresh chopped green chillies.

The main ingredients are potatoes, mustard oil, salt, turmeric, and red chilli powder.

  • The recipe looks good. However I am concerned how would the potatoes cook since this is a dry dish ? you did'nt say potatoes were boiled

  • @ebaysingh09 - If you use the salad potatoes or russet potatoes, they will cook nice and crispy.

  • Did you put the potatoes into boiling water before you cook them ?

  • @SasukeNukenin - no i did not boil the potatoes. Use the smallest size potatoes available so they cook real fast.

  • Definitely, We will be uploading a few videos over the next couple of weeks. We will include Kaddu recipe in those as well.
