  • Yesterday, it was Mahler's centenary from his death. (I love his music) One hundred years ago, Gustav Mahler died in Vienna at age 50. Mahler is the culmination of the romantic era. A composer who was much more known as a great conductor during his lifetime. It wasn’t until the 1950s that his symphonies became staples of the repertoire. Bernstein was a big part of the Mahler revival.

  • Mahler is my favourite composer, because I find in his music various respects, for example, something popular besides something elegiac. I think that Mahler stays between Romanticism and the new experimental trends and can be considered the initiator of the troubled and "difficult" contemporary music. I love listening to his music.
