@PirateXzibit Yes, I think this is fruitless at this point too. But maybe premature is a better word. I hope the scriptures become much more vivid to you in the days to come. Then this wont be so fruitless.

@TheSapphirestation Well, if you count a simple prayer as effort, then: Yes. Was it hard? No. I do Jesus' will everyday even though I trip and fall sometimes, but that's okay, because I learn from it. I didn't change my behaviour, Jesus did.
I feel like this discussion is going fruitless, really.

@PirateXzibit How did you become saved if you did not strive to become a Christian first and try to become saved? Becoming saved took some effort on your part, didn't it? It's true you have to have Jesus in your heart and life, but it was an effort on your part, wasn't it?

@TheSapphirestation Yes, well, if you're Saved, then it's a different story. I listen to Joyce sometimes. But my comment was directed to those who aren't Saved, but still tries to live a Christian life to become a Christian. You can't work your way to Jesus or righteousness. Feels bad to see people struggle so hard to be Christians and live good without Jesus in their heart.
