This project was headed and designed by Ian lodge who I assisted as part of my year long apprenticeship at Cal-Earth in 2007. This house is 5 connecting domes that was built in two months. The location is Pescadero, Baja California Sur, just south of Todos Santos Mexico. To see more videos on earth-bag building check out Guiding Star Creations channel or if you have questions or are interested in hosting or participating in a workshop please contact me us at:

  • @ThomasFelix1983 Nothing, The shell structure is designed to with stand the impact and vibrations of an earthquake.

  • are there any more pictures of the finished result , especially the interior and the stunning views out of the windows etc? great house + really great location , i wish i lived there!

  • Amazing! What was the cost of this project?

  • The ground moves. You can add layer upon layer making this one solid part it is solid and may be the answer to housing on the moon and beyond since your building materials are so light weight and you use what is avaliable when you get there.Place a bottle in for a cool light. Add fiber optics scraps create a skylight almost anywhere you please Your house can be your furniture too. There is nothing new under the sun we can live in harmony with the earth.

  • wow - thats looks great

  • What happens when there is an earthquake???
