  • @crazyracer12 Well, I'd say the 44 and the 9F were both decapods (or 1-E's as we say over here) to hawl heavy freight trains, but that's all they have in common.

    The 44 construction dates from the early 20ties and follows on most ways the conservative building practice of the Reichsbahn-Standards of those days. It's most uncommon feature was its 3-cylinder-engine which made it a very powerful pulling machine.
