Connie will be three in 2012. She is maternal half-sister to 2007 Pan Am double gold medalist and USEF Horse of the Year Theodore O'Connor and paternal half-sister to UK WEG Team Gold medalist Opposition Buzz and two-time French National Champion and 2006 Olympic Team Bronze medalist Yarlands Summersong. Connie is lightly backed, walking and trotting in a field off the lunge line (on a lovely, loose rein), but cantering (very sparingly) on the lunge line because her rider, an excellent and experienced horsewoman, rides saddle seat and western and so is not yet comfortable cantering in a forward seat. PLEASE DO NOT CRITICIZE the rider's occasional lack of balance and poor form. Connie is tolerant and the rider knows her shortcomings in this seat, which is why she asked me to put her on the lunge line for cantering. This is a GREAT rider doing a GREAT job efficiently and as effectively as she is able to at this time.
