Gabriele Tomasello was born in Catania, Italy, in 1979. He graduated with full marks at "Vincenzo Bellini Music Conservatory" in Catania.
He played Piano Recitals in Italy and abroad and he won the first prize in twenty national and international piano competitions.
He won the third prize at: "Pinerolo città della cavalleria" (1997) and at "Gino Gandolfi" international piano competition held in Salsomaggiore (1999). He obtained the special prize "Giorgio Radicula" at international piano competition "Città di Pavia", the second prize at "Città di Minerbio (Bologna) international competition and "R. Schumann" national piano competition, the third prize at "Antonio Napolitano" international piano competition, the First prize at "SEILER" international piano competition (performing as solist in 2004 "Seiler international piano festival" in Kitzingen, Germany)
He attended piano masterclasses by Joaquin Achucarro, Aquiles Delle Vigne, and especially by Vincenzo Balzani. He played in Italy and abroad in solo performances, chamber music, and with orchestra.
In June 2010 He graduated with full marks in "Piano Pedagogy" discussing about the pedagogical musical approach of Dmtri Kabalevsky.
He recorded piano solo Cds for CLASSICALRECORDING label (Vallee d'Aoste) obtaining many favourable comments by renowned musicians such as Giorgio Gaslini, Maria Tipo and Vladimir Ashkenazy.
Mr. Tomasello teached piano for five years (2005-2010) in "Scuola Media Statale G. Carducci" in Catania demostrating excellent communication skills in pedagogy. He currently teaches at "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory in Rome.
