General Sir Mike Jackson throws mobile phone across the studio during an interview. It had already rung a minute earlier and he couldn't deal with it!

  • "Turn that phone off"

I don't think she realises who she is talking to...as if when he reaches into his pocket for it he's just going to answer it...silly woman, no respect

  • OK, silverthumper -so radical Islam that teaches young people to slit throats, rape women, kill civilians and much more is fine by you. If you read 'Soldier' by Gen. Jackson you'll understand the reasons for being in Afghanistan. And by the way -he has no power, no General in the UK does, they are told what to do by the Govt. and MoD. They don't even have control of a logistical trail or a budget.

  • Such a mr bean moment!"

  • hes so stupid he doesn't know how to switch it off, so he just lobs it

  • @okeeft01 right - let's look at wiki to see "the truth"???

  • The "unjustified and unjustifable" killing of 14 innocent marchers on 30 January 1972 - Bloody Sunday - covering up and lying about coming under fire, shooting unarmed civilians in the back, murdering wounded civilians as they lay on the ground. General Mike Jackson, 2nd in command Paras - good riddance.

  • @ludwigvonsteampole1 This guy is great! He stood up to the Yanks in the Kosovo war when they thought the UK was their bitch.

This guy pretty much prevented World War 3 from happening

  • He's looking for a tv show perhaps? Don't think that was accidental?

  • Well I salute Roman Polanski for films like the Pianist and Tess but if he is convicted of rape (statutory or otherwise) of a 13-year old, he can rot in jail. And if Mike Jackson is judged guilty of the murder or conspiracy to murder 14 Catholics then he can go the same way.

  • General Sir Mike...I salute you...We all salute you...You can see on Sir Mikes face thinking bloody mobile..Cant switch the damn thing off...Buy that man a large brandy...

  • Agreed that Mike Jackson made people proud in Kosovo and elsewhere. Agreed also that the rules of engagement allow lethal force where there is MORTAL danger. There was no such danger from unarmed, Catholics shot in the back in 1972. The Paras escaped any sort of justice and their actions allowed others to justify murder for many years after ("Look at what the State did, therefore we can bomb and shot in retaliation"). Let's see what the Saville Enquiry says.
