MSM Goes Sub-2:00 at Buttonwillow

I did it, FINALLY! My MSM has become the first street-driven Miata ever under 2:00 at Buttonwillow (Race #13). Also, it's the 6th Miata ever to break 2:00.

Turbo FTW. Matt's Turbo Miata on NT-01's does a 1:55. The Rotrex Supercharger is still at a slow 1:58 on the same tires so I do not expect to see them at the Redline TA in March. Running Hoosiers when no one else is is cheating IMO.

In the Rotrex car's defense, he's only at 230whp and Matt's somewhere between 300 and 350whp, which is a feat in itself.

Also, unless there's a rule dictating tire limitations, especially for lap records, then anything's fair game. If anything, I'm curious to see Matt drive on Hoosiers. It should be easy with those for Matt to beat 1:54.471.

SM record you quote was on Nascar 3 &4 config, not T12-T13. But who needs facts when you have IRTB's and the all encompassing driving and tuning knowledge of 19 yr old.. who? Oops, you're hiding on youtube after getting all 5 of your user ID's laughed off the forums and the threads you start locked.

Did I read that right? Underprepped car. SM Spec Miata has to use same engine/chassis.You used a 99 1.8L/91 Chassis that uses a 1.6L SM is limited to 15x7 wheels, you used 15x8, SM is limited to 100 UTQG tires, you used Hoosier R6 UTQG 40. You had a big advantage and 6 second slower. You will need a better driver & more than a SC to win a RTA or SLB to win. A Turbo & ITB has done it multiple times. Are you afraid that people will see the results. Have some confindence.

Don't get defensive because there are those of us that know you aren't impressive. Just as we suspected. We always knew that asking you to enter the RTA & SLB where the top tuners compete is too much for you. What are you doing in a underprepared car making excuses.????? Prep the car better and now you know the track you still will be slower than SM. You talk trash about SM but when your time doesn't even come close you say @*^#!%. You're slow until you can win a RTA or SLB in a Miata. Goodluck.
