God bless them indeed. I am from a place where coal used to be king, Newcastle in northern England. Poor people including full families worked down the mines in terrible conditions and many lost their lives to feed the riches of the aristocracy in the south. Thank you for your comment

My family has a 120 year history in the coal mines of Southern Ohio. My great grandfather, and my great uncle were the last two members of my family to go down in the mines. My great grandfather was lost in a cave in, my great uncle went down to black lung. Thanks for the post.
