I agree that this could have been better, but at the same time I don't think the lack of rage in here is really what's killing it. The anger is there, but it's just not as strong an anger as one might want it to be, however I'm ok with it. I honestly think the blocking is what killed it. I've been taught that every movement has to have a reason, if it has no reason it should be be there, and so much of the walking about on stage seems to have no real reason. If it doesn't add to it take it out.

@clownrus Im just saying, Ive seen a fair bit of high school performances where young actors sacrifice their voice quality for emotion. And maybe this is just me, but it's sometimes a little hard to appreciate good acting if I'm cringing at an out of breath/not-so-good voice. Thats not to say that there isnt a happy middle; some excellent young actors can use that to their advantage. I can see where you're coming from, but for a high school performance, this is excellent!

maybe he just sees the character differently. he seems kind of sarcastic, and ironic (in a kind of pissed way) he lets loose near the end. but better have that excellent tone that to sacrifice it for a little more rage....

wonderfully sung, but I see where Mike875 is coming from. It lacks a lot of the rage this song calls for.

our production was more melodramatic, so our girl playing edgar was much more angry screamer. i wish it was on youtube!
